When to Visit

Indonesia has a tropical climate with warm temperatures throughout the year. Rather than four seasons, the country experiences two main periods: a dry season and a rainy (green) season. Weather conditions vary by island and region, influenced by geography and local wind patterns.

Season 1

The dry season, from May to October, generally brings clearer skies, lower humidity, and calmer seas. This period is particularly well suited for beach stays, island hopping, cultural touring, and outdoor activities.

Season 2

The rainy season, from November to April, is marked by short, tropical showers, usually in the afternoon or evening. Mornings often remain clear, and landscapes become lush and vibrant. Travel remains very possible, especially when destinations are chosen carefully.

Season 3

Diving is available year-round across Indonesia, with seasonal differences depending on location and sea conditions.
